COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Better Business Bureau warns that scam artists are now using Twitter to lure their victims in.
Here's what happening: the BBB says through tweets and web sites, companies are promising big money if you buy one of their work from home trial CDs. They claim you can make up to $800 a day! That's why you have to read the find print.
If you're looking for work online, the BBB says if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Remember that scam artists are professionals they're good at making ads look real.
Also look out for work from home job titles. There's a good chance it's a scheme.
When putting your resume on the web the BBB says don't give out your address or phone number make your email address is listed as your contact information.
One last tip: research the company before hand that way you know if you're dealing with a legit business.
