COLUMBUS, Ohio – You can never be too safe, even when you are at an automatic car wash. This week’s Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week deals with a local man who found out the hard way after a pair of thieves held him up at gunpoint, then assaulted him. On Sunday, June 21 around 1 a.m., in the 5300 block of Tamarack Circle North, 2 suspects pulled a gun on an unsuspecting victim at a car wash. The suspects began assaulting the man once they found out he did not have any money.
Both suspects fled in what appears to be a Ford F-150 pick-up truck, maroon in color with an extended cap, chrome side mirrors and chrome wheels. The truck had a third suspect inside who drove the get-away vehicle. The armed suspect is described as a white man in his mid 20’s, about 5’11”, 165 pounds. He was unshaven with a mustache and goatee, thin build and short hair. The other suspect is also a white male in his mid 20’s wearing a black t-shirt and black baseball cap.
