Teen Dies After Running From Police

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Division of Police Homicide Detectives are currently investigating the death of a 16-year old early this morning on the south side. Reports say just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, officers observed 16-year old Ryan Knight in front of 1803 S. High Street. The officers observed the door of the business had been forced open and as officers approached Knight and told him to stop, Knight disregarded the officer’s orders and ran towards S. High Street. Knight ran into S. High Street and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on S. High. Knight was pronounced dead on the scene by Columbus Fire.
