DAYTON, Ohio -- Growing numbers of Dayton-area job seekers are turning to nonprofit groups for help with resumes and interview attire amid the weak job market.

Clothes That Work provides professional clothing, image counseling and training for job seekers in Montgomery and Greene counties. Executive Director Marsha Froelich reports a 44 percent increase in service from this time last year.

Froelich projects that the nonprofit will help 1,600 people this year, up from 1,100 to 1,200 last year.

Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley spokeswoman Mari Jo Sellers says the group has seen a 35 percent increase in its program that helps people prepare resumes and network for jobs. So far, the program has served more than 1,000 people compared to 772 last year at this time.
