Ohio Grand Jury To Consider Stars' Surrogate Case

»  Comments | Post a Comment

MARTINS FERRY, Ohio -- A special prosecutor says state agents have finished their investigation of two Ohio police chiefs accused of doing celebrity digging for a tabloid. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation has been looking into allegations that the chiefs from Martins Ferry and Bridgeport in eastern Ohio entered a home in May to obtain information about the surrogate mother then carrying twins for Hollywood couple Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick.

Prosecutor T. Shawn Hervey tells The (Martins Ferry) Times Leader he expects to present the findings next week to a grand jury, which will consider whether charges should be filed. The surrogate gave birth at a Martins Ferry hospital in June. Both police chiefs have remained on duty and have refused comment.
