WESTERVILLE, Ohio – An elderly man who left his nursing home with an unauthorized person returned to his nursing home Thursday afternoon.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
John Rothney was seen last leaving Summerville Senior Living, at 690 Cooper Rd., Westerville, around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Rothney was seen leaving with an unknown person who didn't have permission to remove Rothney from the grounds.
Authorities said Rothney does not have his multiple daily doses of required medication. He also has a mild case of dementia.
Officials said they were worried about Rothney's safety.
Westerville police said Rothney returned to his nursing home safely Thursday afternoon.
