COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Officers continued to investigate after an alleged hit-skip accident involving a pedestrian.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
The incident occurred before 5 a.m. Friday at South High Street and West Woodrow Avenue on the city’s South Side.
On-scene witnesses said two males were walking across Woodrow Avenue when a small, red vehicle turned the wrong way on Woodrow Avenue.
According to police, the driver threw the car into reverse, squealed the tires and backed into one of the two men crossing the street. Witnesses told police it appeared to be intentional.
Shane Housely, 21, was transported to Grant Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Police said the driver left the scene before officers arrived.
There was no known motive or suspect currently.
