COLUMBUS, Ohio -- It's been a long time coming for residents and motorists alike who live and drive on Hard Road near state Route 315.
Hundreds of orange barrels were to be removed from the roadway Thursday morning.
A portion of the $9.1 million reconstruction project will be complete, making way for a much smoother flow of traffic for the thousands of vehicles that use the east-west connector daily.
ODOT spokesperson Nancy Burton says through traffic will use newly constructed Hard Road, which you can access from Olentangy River Road to the north and Linworth Road to the south.
The Hard Road reconstruction project will be totally complete by 2010.
