Ganahl: Decent Weekend Ahead

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Betelgeuse is the brightest star in the constellation Orion – this is a winter one for us so it is not visible at night right now – it will be in the eastern sky about dawn by the end of September then prominent in the night sky all thru winter. Astronomers are saying this will go super nova any day now – this explosion will make the star visible in the daytime, amazing at night. It is 512 light years away so this has already happened oddly.

Moon-lit tonight, man are the insects ever loud at night in mid summer, low 59
Sunny, good pool day tomorrow, high 84
Showers midday on Sunday keeps the high at 79

You don’t have to read about CAPES, LIs, or anything serious to round out your week. Enjoy.
