Local Man Sentenced For Raping 6-Year-Old Boy

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio -- A man pleaded no contest to rape charges and was sentenced after a young boy reported being raped by him twice.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Neil Myers was charged with two counts of rape and other related offenses in December 2008.

Delaware County sheriff's deputies said Myers attacked a 6-year-old boy Halloween night.

Myers, who has prior juvenile rape convictions, pleaded no contest to the rape charges in Delaware County court Monday.

He was sentenced to eight years in prison and must register as a Tier 3 sex offender.
