CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ohio -- A 26-year-old man was killed in a crash early Tuesday when he struck a fence and two trees.

Troopers from the Marysville post of the Ohio State Patrol continued to investigate the fatal crash that occurred on U.S. Route 68 north of Urbana.
Ronald D. Wakefield Jr., 26, of Xenia was driving a 1998 Ford Windstar northbound on U.S. 68 north of Herr Road before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Wakefield lost control, drove off the left side of the roadway, striking a fence and two trees, OSP said.
Wakefield was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remained under investigation.
Investigators asked anyone with information on the crash to call 937-644-8811.
It was the county’s third fatal crash of 2009, resulting in the loss of five lives.
