COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A South Side house fire was ruled to be arson Thursday.

Columbus fire responded to a house fire on the 900 block of Studer Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday.
Seven people and a dog got out of the burning home
It appeared the fire might have begun on the two-story home’s back porch.
CFD called an arson investigator to the scene Thursday morning.
CFD Battalion Chief David Whiting said the fire was ruled as an arson fire.
Whiting said the fire was not in the same area as the string of South Side arsons.
At least one person was treated at the scene.
