SUNBURY, Ohio -- The Division of State Fire Marshal ruled two early morning Delaware County fires as arson.

The first fire started at 3:35 a.m. Friday at a single-family home on Meredith State Road in Sunbury.
Division of State Fire Marshal investigators ruled the fire as arson. All accidental causes were eliminated.
The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. There were no utilities to the structure.
A passerby reported the fire, and there were no injuries.
BST&G fire will assist in the investigation. Several mutual aid fire departments (Porter-Kingston, Hartford, Centerburg and Harlem Township) provided assistance.
The second fire started at 4:52 a.m. Friday at a barn at state Route 37 and County Line Road in Sunbury.
Division of State Fire Marshal investigators ruled the fire as arson. All accidental causes were eliminated.
No one was injured.
Harlem Township fire will assist in the investigation. Mutual aid was provided by Porter-Kingston, Monroe Township, Hartford and Genoa Township.
Specific details, including how the fires were set and where the fires originated, were not being released currently.
Investigators have not determined whether the two fires were related. However, given the close proximity, investigators were looking into the possibility.
