YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Police in the Youngstown area say a man was fatally shot and his son was wounded when a gunman who had dated a family member burst into their home and opened fire.
Austintown police say 41-year-old Richard Forrester of Niles shot the two men and killed himself when police arrived and tried to subdue him.
Police Chief Robert Gavalier says 52-year-old Gerald Kidd died of wounds suffered at his home Thursday night. His son, 32-year-old Ian Kidd, was shot but the wounds don't appear life-threatening.
