OBETZ, Ohio -- A suspect who was shot by Obetz officers has died from his injuries, according to authorities.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Monday.
As previously reported, Obetz officers were dispatched to a domestic-violence call at an apartment in the 2200 block of Bridlewood Boulevard Saturday night.
FOP President Jim Gilbert said two Obetz officers were part of the police-involved shooting.
A male suspect, whom police say was armed, was shot.
Gilbert said both officers resorted to the training while being faced with a suspect who was in possession of a weapon(s).
The suspect was transported by medic to Grant Medical Center around 10:30 p.m.
The identity of the suspect and his time of death could not be confirmed by authorities currently.
The Franklin County sheriff’s office continued to investigate the incident.
Gilbert said it was his understanding the case would be presented to the Franklin County grand jury, similar to all CPD cases that involve a death out of a police-involved shooting.
