COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An early morning fire on the city's East Side was ruled as suspicious after arson investigators were called out.

Columbus fire was called to a 30-unit apartment building on the 900 block of Mayfield Place shortly at about 5:50 a.m.
Arson investigators also were called to the address.
The fire was on the third floor, fire officials said.
One victim jumped from a third-floor window to escape the fire.
He suffered cuts and bruises from the fall and was transported to Grant Medical Center in stable condition.
One other resident suffered some breathing problems from the fire. There weren't any firefighter injuries reported.
The American Red Cross also was called to the scene.
The estimated damage was $25,000.
Columbus fire's Battalion Chief David Whiting said the fire was suspicious and remained under investigation.
