COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Portions of both westbound and eastbound Interstate 70 on the city’s West Side reopened after high water caused closings.

Authorities closed the freeways shortly before 10 a.m. and reopened them to traffic shortly after noon Thursday.
Authorities closed I-70 westbound at West Broad Street and I-70 eastbound at Interstate 670, ODOT said.

Motorists were reminded not to drive through flooded roadways. The water could be deeper than it appears.
The roadways were reopened to traffic as soon as the water receded.
