COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A teenager has died after he was found shot in the back of the head at a local park Sunday.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Police and fire departments were called to Mock Park on the city’s Northeast Side at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday.
CPD said 17-year-old Bernard Hawkins was found shot in the back of the head; NBC 4 previously reported Hawkins was 20 years old.
Hawkins was taken to OSU Medical Center Main in critical condition and with life-threatening injuries.
He died from his injuries at 6:16 a.m. Tuesday, according to CPD.
W. Whitehead, 18, the second shooting victim, transported himself to OSU Medical Center. He suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was treated and released Sunday night.
Police do not have any suspects currently.
