COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man accused of killing another man with a single punch pleaded guilty to felonious assault Wednesday.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

A fight over a bottle of beer turned ugly April 2008 when a 29-year-old nursing student was punched outside of a popular Arena District bar, Gaswerks.

Nick Foss died three days after the fight, and 22-year-old Brent Goode turned himself in for the crime.

As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors dropped a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

He pleaded guilty to a second-degree felony charge of felonious assault.

Goode’s sentencing was scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, July 27.
