CANTON, Ohio -- A man who police say confessed to killing his two young children and his former mother-in-law is complaining about the food he's getting in jail.
James Mammone III told Stark County Common Pleas Judge John Haas on Friday that he's having problems getting food that fits his strict vegetarian diet.
During a hearing at the Stark County Jail Mammone pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and other charges stemming from an indictment that include a possible death sentence.
Mammone is charged with killing his two children, ages 3 and 5, and his former mother-in-law on June 8.
Canton police have said he confessed to the slayings and was trying to punish his ex-wife, Marcia Mammone, following their recent divorce.
