CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson says all city workers will receive a printed copy of an ethics policy to ensure that everyone knows what accepted behavior is. The move comes amid a wide-ranging FBI probe of Cuyahoga County's government, which started at least three years ago in Cleveland's Building and Housing Department. Jackson said Friday that city workers also will get a copy of Cleveland's ethics policy via e-mail, and the policy will be posted on the city's Web site. He says all employees will be held accountable for their actions.
Five of six city building inspectors have pleaded guilty to corruption charges, and Jackson has launched his own internal investigation to follow through on any charges that may not have risen to a federal level.
