Youngstown State University President Announces Retirement

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio
The president of Youngstown State University has made it official by saying he will retire next year.

David Sweet made formal what he has indicated in the past in an announcement Friday at the university's board of trustees meeting.

Sweet, who became YSU president in July 2010, will retire at the end of June next year.

Enrollment this spring was nearly 13,000, the ninth straight spring semester that enrollment has risen at the university.
