COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Authorities and a victim’s family and friends asked for your help to solve a homicide.

CPD was called to the area of Kellner and East Livingston avenues late Saturday, April 4, 2009.
East Side residents had reported gunfire.
Officers found the body of 34-year-old Michael Thomas on the ground near his van in the alley in the 2900 block of East Livingston Avenue.
Thomas had shots to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Residents and citizens in the area were unable to provide police with specific information, leaving the possibility Thomas might have been the victim of random violence.
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers and Thomas’ concerned friends and family offered a combined reward of as much as $5,500 for any information received by Wednesday, July 1, 2009, that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
