COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A robbery suspect turned himself in to Columbus police.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

A robbery suspect held up a campus Giant Eagle on High Street at about 3:34 p.m. Saturday.

CPD said the suspect walked into the store and demanded money from a cashier. He implied he was armed.

When the register didn’t open, he went to customer service.

The customer-service-desk employee was able to give him an undetermined amount of cash, according to CPD.

The suspect fled on foot towards North High Street, CPD said.

CPD told NBC 4 William McCleod Jr., 45, turned himself in and confessed complete involvement.

He was arrested and charged with robbery, a second-degree felony.
