COLUMBUS, Ohio -- CPD continued to search for a suspect who allegedly molested a 7-year-old boy Saturday night.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
CPD was called to the 5500 block of Ironwood Court on the city’s North Side shortly before 9:45 p.m. Saturday.
The half-dressed boy knocked on a neighbor’s door, seeking help.
The boy said he and some friends were playing in a vacant apartment when a man grabbed him, pulled off his shorts and touched his genitals.
The police report said the suspect also dragged the boy across the ground before fleeing the scene.
The child said the suspect ran south, over a fence, into the area of the Rockwood Apartments.
The victim said the suspect was a black male with a light complexion. He was wearing a blue and white shirt and had a black mask over his face.
The child was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation.
CPD continued to investigate.
