COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Franklin County Children Services said an infant found by a mail carrier last weekend is doing well, but they need help finding the parents.
The mail carrier found the baby on the porch of a vacant house on Marble Drive, near Livingston Avenue at about 10 a.m. Saturday.
According to the U.S. Postal Service, the letter carrier, Michael Herron, was walking by the home, heard a noise and saw a plastic bag that was moving. Authorities said Herron saw the child, went to a neighboring home and called police and paramedics.
A foster family is now taking care of the infant.
FCCS said they hope someone comes forward with information on the parents.
