COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Some East Columbus residents are taking matters into their own hands, protecting themselves in the wake of recent burglaries. What is unsettling is the items taken, were guns. Residents tell NBC 4’s Tanya Hutchins, five homes have been hit on the same street within the past two months. One woman is even moving out of the area because of the break-ins.
The area of Cryodon Boulevard North are going through a scary time right now in their neighborhood. Within the last two months, five families have been victimized by the robbers targeting this neighborhood. Some residents told Hutchins their kids are afraid to sleep alone fearing the robbers will target them once again.
