»  Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus City Council approved an overhaul of one of the most heavily traveled roadways in West Columbus.

NBC 4 reported with the Fast Facts.

City council approved $225,000 for renovations to Hilliard-Rome Road during its meeting Monday.

Engineers reported nearly 30,000 cars travel Hilliard-Rome Road daily, with an increase to 50,000 per day expected over the next few years.

The money will be used to buy an area from Westchester Woods Boulevard to Roberts Road in order to widen the existing road and to add sidewalks and a bike lane, NBC 4 reported.
