COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A strike team apprehended a murder suspect Friday after a woman was fatally shot outside of her apartment building in January.

Kathy Bryant, 48, was fatally on the front steps of her apartment Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009.
The North Side shooting occurred on Belcher Drive at about 1 p.m.
During Bryant's frantic 911 call, she told the dispatcher a man was threatening her at her apartment.
Tyrone Scales, 22, was charged with one count of murder in connection with Bryant’s death.
A warrant was issued for Scales’ arrest.
Members of the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) took Scales into custody at 6:15 a.m. Friday.
Scales was found at an apartment on Mood Road on the city's North Side, police said.
