DUBLIN, Ohio -- Officials are asking for help solving a bold overnight burglary, where a lone bandit stuffed his bags with stolen jewelry.
Security video taken from a Dublin-area jewelry store on Sept. 14 showed a sedan pull up to the building. Moments later, a suspect broke into the back door of the store.
"He moves very quickly, swiftly throughout the store, taking some items but he appears to be very mindful of the time," said Detective Scott Davis, of Dublin police.
Police said it was difficult to get a full description of the suspect because of light conditions, but that he is a black male in his late 30s or early 40s. He was of average height and full build and was wearing all black except for white sneakers.
"We're hoping that somebody will either recognize the individual or the vehicle and hopefully come forward and identify whoever it is in the video," Davis said.
The car is a full-sized four-door sedan -- perhaps a later model Cadillac.
A $2,000 cash reward was offered for tips that lead to an arrest and or conviction in this case, and you don’t have to give your name.
