COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Inside a small room near the airport, there was a familiar story.
"I thought I had my steady job, but my position was eliminated," said Norman Mikaelian, a Success Group member.
What else can they do but move forward? That's where the Success Group steps in.
Group members meet to network, sell themselves and move forward, NBC 4 reported.
"Since the downturn in the economy, we've had quite a few members coming out that are job searching," said Jayson Waits, The Success Group founder.
Kevin Parker was laid off from Chase Bank after seven years. After coming to the group, he decided to work for himself and start his own tax and insurance company.
Last week, the group met to learn how to social network, do what they're doing and do it online.
"With Twitter, you get to meet people away from the events," said Dan Harris, a Twitter user.
It's just one more way to network among those who need it most.
