COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio House Republicans are calling on Gov. Ted Strickland to replace his budget director.
House Minority Leader Bill Batchelder of Medina sent Strickland a letter Sunday saying Budget Director Pari Sabety has made multiple "inaccurate" budget estimates. Batchelder also cites the administration's delay in providing 2008 fiscal information to the state auditor.
He says Sabety has obstructed the legislative process by continuously revising the budget plan.
Republicans have been frustrated by the use of one-time federal money in the two-year budget plan and say Strickland has not explained how the spending can be maintained in future years without raising taxes.
A message seeking comment was left with Strickland's spokeswoman.
