BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A teen was killed in a one-vehicle crash early Tuesday.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The Franklin County sheriff's office continued to investigate a fatal one-vehicle crash that occurred at about 2:12 a.m. Tuesday.

The crash happened on Sunbury Road, north of Morse Road, in Blendon Township.

A 2003 gray Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Sunbury Road when it struck a guardrail, went off the roadway and struck a tree, deputies said.

Authorities identified the driver as 16-year-old Devonte Morris of Columbus late Tuesday morning.

Morris was transported to Grant Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

It wasn't known currently whether alcohol and/or drugs or speed were suspected factors in the crash.

Morris was not wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags were deployed, deputies said.

An investigation into the crash continued.
