CENTRAL OHIO -- Are you looking for a job? A Central Ohio favorite has turned to the Web to get the word out about available jobs.
NBC 4's Mikaela Hunt reported with the FAST FACTS Thursday.
Preparation can make a world of difference whether you're talking about a job search or a dinner service.
Bob Evans, known for a good cup of coffee and a lot more, hoped its own human-resource prep will result in good hires.
"Unfortunately, so many are looking for work right now. But we use that as an opportunity to really go out and hire those great individuals and bring them into the Bob Evans family," Bob Evans' Director of Staffing Clint Lautenschleger said.
With hourly, management and corporate jobs available, the company decided to take its candidate hunt to the next level and post all of its positions on CareerBuilder.com.
The restaurant realized the economy has shifted. They realized, from a marketing perspective, it was the time to strike.
Lautenschleger is in charge of staffing for Bob Evans, and job candidates haven't been staying down on the farm -- they've been coming out of the woodwork.
The company originally saw 300 to 400 candidates check them out online each day.
Now, an average of 2,200 job seekers search the open positions each day.
Bob Evans sung praises for the partnership.
"I think you're going to continue to see growth at the corporate office. I think you're going to see us continuing to post all of our jobs on CareerBuilder.com, and I think it's going to be very positive for us and the city of Columbus," Lautenschleger said.
