DELAWARE, Ohio – This week, School Resource Officers at the Buckeye Valley Middle School will be participating in a program called radKIDS. The 5-day program is designed for children ages 5-12 and will help sharpen a child’s decision making skills. radKIDS stands for resisting aggression defensively. It will include activity-based programs, safety drills and muscle memory exercises that will replace fear and confusion in a dangerous situation with confidence. Right now the program is not available to everyone, it will be taught through School Resource Officers. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office hopes to expand the program throughout the county soon.
