WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Westerville police continued to search for a suspect after authorities said a pet store was robbed at gunpoint Monday.
The robbery occurred after 8 p.m. Monday at the Complete Petmart location at 565 S. State St.
An employee told Westerville officers a man entered the store’s front entrance and remained there for a few minutes before approaching the counter.
The male suspect told the employee he had a gun and demanded money from the cash register, according to a police report.
The employee told police the suspect fled the store on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
The suspect was described as a white male who was about 5 feet 9 or so inches with a medium build.
The suspect was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and tan pants.
