WASHINGTON -- A popular baby product company recalled thousands of high chairs after a child suffered a fractured skull.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Wednesday.

Fisher-Price of East Aurora, N.Y., has recalled about 24,000 3-in-1 high chairs manufactured in Mexico.

The seat could fall backward from the frame if the release were unlatched while a child was inside.

The seat back also could detach if not snapped fully into place.

The company received one report of a detached seat back that resulted in a fractured skull.

The high chairs were sold at Target stores around the country between December 2008 and March 2009.

Consumers can contact Fisher-Price for a free repair kit.
