COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A former city manager pleaded guilty to an importuning charge Tuesday.

William H. Nelson Jr., 48, was charged with one count of importuning after he allegedly was communicating in an online chat room with a detective posing as a 14-year-old girl.
That was on or about Oct. 3, 2008, according to Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney Ron O'Brien.
Nelson allegedly arranged to meet the "girl" at a Grove City restaurant.
Nelson was arrested upon arrival at the determined meeting location.
Nelson pleaded guilty to the charge, a felony 5, in a Franklin County courtroom before Judge Charles Schneider Tuesday.
Nelson recently resigned from the position of Miamisburg city manager.
Judge Schneider ordered a psychological evaluation for Nelson, and Nelson was scheduled to be sentenced at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 13.
