NEWARK, Ohio -- Everyone knows you can tip back a cold one on a barstool. Did you know you can drive a barstool?
One Newark man has been accused of doing both at the same time.

911 call: "I got a friend here that wrecked a barstool -- hit the pavement with his head."
The 911 operator seemed unfazed, but the Newark police officer who issued the citation found the situation to be unique.
NBC 4's Ana Jackson talked to Kile Wygle to get his side of the story.
Barstool racers apparently are the latest craze in transportation.
Wygle found out the latest craze also can be dangerous.
Wygle said the incident on Wednesday, March 4, was the first time he crashed a motorized barstool.
When Jackson asked him how it crashed, Wygle said he didn't know.
Jackson said a police diagram showed Wygle crashed when he tried to turn the barstool racer.
Officers cited Wygel with an OVI.
"I was not drunk when I wrecked it," Wygle said.
This was the message from the 911 dispatcher: We're sending a squad over there for a gentleman who wrecked in a motorized bar stool with head lacerations. He's got alcohol on board.
"Actually, I drank quite a bit after I wrecked because my head hurt so bad. I went in and drank a half a bottle of whiskey," Wygle said.
Wygle said his friends got a pretty good laugh when he told them about it.
Vonn Watson, owner of Skeeter Watson's Bar Stool Racers, said he couldn't believe it when it heard it.
Watson builds custom racers. He built the one Wygle wrecked.
"I wanted to see what he looked like 'cause I've never seen anyone crash one yet," Watson said.
Wygle said the racer currently is hidden somewhere outside of city limits.
When Jackson asked what happened to the racer during the crash, Wygle said the handle was broken but it was fine.
Jackson asked whether Wygle was going to take the racer out again.
"Not in Newark," Wygle said.
Barstool racers can be custom-built. You can have one in any color and with multiple seats.
A Newark police sergeant said you probably shouldn't ride them out on public streets and definitely not while drinking.
