COLUMBUS, Ohio – Chris Spielman has been elected to the National Football Foundation’s College Football Hall of Fame.
Spielman is the third all-time tackling leader at Ohio State University and a two-time All-American. He’s among the 16 players voted into the Hall of Fame this week.
Spielman has always been a team player, but says this is an honor he has always wanted. He is only the 28th Buckeye to be named to the College Hall of Fame.
Other Buckeyes inducted since 2000 include John Hicks, Jim Houston, Rex Kern, Jack Tatum and coaches John Cooper and Earl Bruce.
Spielman was a linebacker for OSU from 1984-1987. He went on to play in the NFL for 12 years with the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns.
