COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Friday evening at approximately 8:16 p.m, 43-year old Rodney M. Schmittler was working for Shelly and Sands at a construction site near Cleveland Avenue and Morse Road. Schmittler was accidently crushed between a large steel gravel box and a moving trace hoe and was transported to OSU Main Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
