COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Shortly after 4 a.m., The Columbus Division of Fire was called to 766 South Richardson Avenue on a house fire.
The residents of the house were not home at the time of the fire. Upon returning home after visiting relatives, the mother and her five children ages 8-16 told NBC 4 crews they saw someone inside their home. Shortly after that, the residents said, they saw fire.
Neighbors say they were awakened by the sound of fire and the heat from the flames. Arson investigators are currently on the scene investigating and the American Red Cross was called to assist the victims.
