PATASKALA, Ohio -- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash overnight Wednesday.

The Pataskala Division of Police continued to investigate a single-vehicle motorcycle fatality.
Police responded to the 8200 block of Hazelton-Etna Road SW on reports of a motorcycle in the ditch after receiving a call from a passing motorist at approximately 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers found the victim in a ditch.
The victim later was identified as 32-year-old Ryan Isenbarg of Pataskala.
Preliminary investigation indicated the motorcycle left the right side of the roadway, went airborne and landed in a large, water-filled ditch.
The exact time of the accident was unknown, but appeared to have happened in the early morning hours.
Isenbarg was taken to the Licking County coroner’s office where an autopsy will be performed Wednesday.
The cause of the accident was unknown pending further investigation.
