COLUMBUS, Ohio – A shootout in the middle of the street Tuesday night ends with one person in the hospital.

Columbus Police were called to the 1400 block of N. 4th Street on a report of a shooting around 11;00 p.m. Tuesday.
Police tell NBC 4 two men were in an argument at N. 4th Street and E. 9th Avenue.
While arguing, both men pulled out guns and began firing.
One of the men was shot in the back and transported to OSU Medical Center in critical condition.
The shooter fled the scene before police arrived.
The shooting is still under investigation.
