KFCs Run Out Of Chicken After Coupon Flap

KFCs Run Out Of Chicken After Coupon Flap

KFCs across the country run out of chicken after Oprah pitches free coupons.

Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants across America have been packed thanks to Oprah Winfrey.

The talk show queen gave away free coupons for KFC's new grilled chicken meal on http://www.Oprah.com Tuesday.

The rush for free chicken left many stores empty-handed.

A spokesperson for the fast-food chain said many stores actually ran out of the grilled chicken and will have to restock before they can give away any more meals.

The coupons are no longer available for download.

Consumers were able to download as many as four online coupons.

Consumers can continue to redeem coupons at participating KFC restaurants -- that have the chicken -- until Tuesday, May 19, excluding Mother's Day this Sunday.

If you downloaded coupons and they were not accepted at a KFC restaurant, call 800-CALL-KFC. A KFC Customer Service representative will assist you and also take the information about your experience and follow up with the restaurant.
