Thick Fog Leads To School Delays, Motorist Warnings

»  Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A thick blanket of fog has pulled across much of Ohio, prompting school delays and warnings to motorists.

Dozens of districts have decided to open schools one or two hours late Thursday morning because of heavy fog.

The National Weather Service explains that the fog was produced by cool temperatures overnight following rainfall on Wednesday that saturated the lower atmosphere.

The weather service has dense fog advisories in effect for the majority of Ohio's 88 counties until midmorning on Thursday. The forecasters are urging motorists to use caution and slow down because of reduced visibility.
