COLUMBUS, Ohio – Today, more than 20 women representing local businesses and organizations will raise a wall to complete the framing of a new home being built by women in Central Ohio. For the first time ever, Habitat’s ReStore has partnered with the local Women Build group and is providing one-half of the necessary funding to sponsor this home on 9th Avenue. The National Women Build project challenges women across the country to devote at least one day as a volunteer home builder to help eliminate poverty housing. Through Women Build, women from all walks of life come together to learn construction skills and apply those skills to build simple, decent affordable houses.
