Witnesses: Car Driven By Teen Runs Over 13-Year-Old

UPDATE: A 13-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle, and witnesses say another teen was behind the wheel.

GROVEPORT, Ohio -- A 13-year-old boy remained in the hospital Monday morning after he was run over by a vehicle Sunday evening.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Rescuers told NBC 4 the incident happened before 7:30 p.m. on private property at 5709 Ebright Rd.

Witnesses said the teen was helping remove brush and debris when another boy got into the vehicle to move it and ran over the 13-year-old victim.

The accident happened nearly a mile off the roadway on a gravel roadway surface.

Officials from the Franklin County sheriff's office and Madison Township police continued to investigate.

The boy was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.
