HILLIARD, Ohio -- A woman remained in critical condition Monday morning after her vehicle crashed into a tree on Interstate 270 late Sunday afternoon.

Traffic slowed on northbound I-270 on the city's West Side as passersby tried to see a vehicle that had gone off the roadway and struck a tree.
The car went off the freeway between the Cemetery Road and Tuttle Crossing exits.
Rescuers from Norwich Township performed an extrication to remove the female victim who was in the vehicle.
Hilliard police told NBC 4 they were interviewing witnesses but so far had no idea why the car went off the road.
The unidentified female driver was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
