COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police searched a local high school and its parking lot for drugs Tuesday morning.
NBC 4’s Lauren Diedrich reported with the FAST FACTS.
Obetz police was searching the building and vehicles at Hamilton Township High School, 775 Rathmell Rd., at 11 a.m.
The school is on the city’s Southeast Side and is part of the Hamilton Local School District.
Officers were performing a routine drug search at the school.
No drugs were found, authorities said.
A parent called NBC 4 before 11 a.m. and said her son was texting her about a drug bust at the school and a possible lockdown.
The Franklin County sheriff’s office said the office wasn’t aware of a lockdown situation.
